Optimism Goerli's hard fork is scheduled for release in March, with the exact timing to be announced next week, and the upgrade will improve Bedrock's development experience by fixing inconsistencies in some system transaction receipts in the API, Ethereum Tier 2 Solution Optimism tweeted. Although the bug is developer-oriented and does not affect user funds, it does require a fork to fix. In preparation for this upgrade, the op-geth and op-node updates will be released in early March, followed by the activation of the fork in mid-March. The user does not have to take any action and does not experience any outages or downtime. Partners and project running nodes on the Optimism Goerli will need to upgrade their nodes when the op-geth and op-node updates are released.
